You are not an old friend, though I’ve
Known the touch of your whisper
Soft and shaded like an old oak
Facing another winter

Substance- though more demanding

I tried once to bring yellow piss colored
Sun into storms of night- drenching all these
Shadows with positive reinforcements- calm, still surfaces, like
A child’s face reflected in a clear crisp lake-
The burning frustration- went on for days-

Cursing your rich unavoidable melancholy
Wrapping tightly- tightly around my lips-

Very rich in its imagery, Moondark. I really enjoyed S1&2, and "yellow pissed colored/Sun" started as a "Wow!," but I couldn't get pass a drenching urine connoting "calm, still surfaces" unless I misunderstood the sentence structure.
