I stand on this cliff
Its edges crumbling beneath my feet
The circle of fire has gone
Slipped beyond the earth's horizon
And brings on the death of night
Below the painted desert turns black
Becomes a pit of nothingness
The four winds swirl
A blanket of stars cover me
And I'm alone
Arms spread wide
Eyes tightly closed
I let myself fall
Plunging toward release
But night after night I fail
Freedom is jerked away
The beast within refuses to die
Forces me to change
Forces me to live
To fly from freedom's grip
Into the arms of eternal loneliness
