Fool that I was
I convinced myself it was real
The things that I’d feel
When I was with you
How the sun shone through
But now
Now that my heart is broken
And your trite little goodbye speech has been spoken
Now I know that words are just lies
Shielded from your eyes
But there in your heart
Now I know for the next time
Where I should start
