Once upon a dream of mine, I felt you close to me.

I need you now, more than moments of long ago.

Must we always look back into our souls,

To find the missing key to love, far ago left behind?

The night has never shined as brightly,

As the time we first made love.

Forever I will remember times together, yet alone.

If missing you is to be my prison,

I am bound to die in sorrowful chains.

Others ruled my actions, changed my destiny.

Now I pay the ultimate price ever alone without you.

I need you, your strength, your touch, your smile.

I need the warmth of your caress.

Passion blazing forth to singe my skin,

Take me from this hell I have created for myself.

Love not treasured, left alone to wither from lack of attention.

Through the passing of time and other loves dimly lit,

Shine through to me and be my beacon in the darkness.

Fill the void in my heart, my soul, dying in need of love.

Touch me, love me only for the moment.

My promise, until the end of time;

Your love, I will cherish and hold to my heart forevermore.

Never to hurt you.
