I am no Cinderella, not a princess at all
And you are no Prince Charming
If a fairy tale love is what you were searching for
I'm not the one you want anymore

Love isn't like magic
There's no such thing as "happily ever after"
Loving only brings misery; it's scary
It's a burden we choose to carry

Your kisses were like music to my lips
You gave me a helium heart, made me float on hope
You cast upon me your spell
And into your arms I fell

I gave you my heart, all of my love
But you were more reckless than a loaded gun
You shattered me to pieces; I'm broke
You sent this bridge between us up in smoke

The past is like a broken record
It's playing on repeat
I'm trying to change the song
But the lyrics come out all wrong

You go ahead and keep the memories we made
I'll make new ones on my own
I'm done with always trying
When all you do is keep on lying

You dealt your pain out, left me as low as a person can go
You took my love and threw it down the drain
You said you were looking for love
But you weren't looking hard enough

I would have walked a million miles for you
I would have died a thousand deaths
But apparently I can't be what you need
And now I sit here letting my heart bleed

Hold on if you want to but I'm letting go
Cry if you must but I'm done shedding tears over you
Maybe I could have been the one
But we'll never know because I'm all done

You are radioactive; you can't even save yourself
I just wanted to love you with all of me
I wanted to sweep you away
I wanted my love to pour down on you every day

But you gave up on me before you even gave me a chance
Now we live with moments we regret
Go on and live your life like I never mattered
It's obvious I didn't or you wouldn't have left me battered

I had my heart destroyed
I ran out of reasons to believe
My love was an epic fail
Once upon a fairy tale

Nice structure, concepts and voice.

Lines like:

"I would have walked a million miles for you

I would have died a thousand deaths"

do not help. Not only have we come across them before, they are near meaningless hyperbole

But I do like

"My love was an epic fail

Once upon a fairy tale"
