Once upon a ryhme there was a time
We knew that love would never die
We believed that we would live forever
When we were young and uncaring
When songs were sung and sex was sating
We wasted nothing of our time
Living, breathing, sharing
Everything we did, we did together
But the rhyme slowly died
Erasing words from our pages
Editing phrases in our hearts
Deleting dreams meant to bind
We slept our youth side by side
Living every waking moment
Our innocence swept away
Now you’re gone like melted snow
Yet still I dream you’ll come to me
Sleep once more within my arms
But there are dreams that cannot be
We have lived our rhyme and now
It is time for us to go

A sad piece reflecting on

The loss of youthful

Exuberance and innocence;

This is why the Pan lives on...

a rock-a-by rhythm

I enjoyed the rhythmic flow of this poem as well as the passion of your pen <grin (~_~)
