Deep among the ferns and trees,
I stand hidden behind the leaves.
I am a part of this place,
And it is woven into me.

I seek the trickle of the stream
And the muddy path where it flows.
Its sound winds its way into my soul
And my nerves uncurl, one by one.

The tree behind me tall and rough,
Reaches out to fold me in its arms.
All the sorrows I hold at bay,
It gently, softly pulls away.

This tapestry of life, so many minds
Making up a forest.
Holds me in a million arms,
And I am not alone.
