I should want to be near you
I should like to care
But everything feels so ordinary
And I can't pay my share

I should like to want you
I should want to feel
But nothing brings forth emotion
And I have no pain to bear

So I sit in silence
Cradling my knees
I could cry tears of sorrow
I should want to say please

Instead I ask for nothing
Begging for everything is the same
One breath more for my memories
One less thought to fill my head
