One Night-

One night I stayed awake,
Creating the perfect love in my mind,
not really believing,
A love like that, one day I would find,
Slivers of a hurtful past,
seemed to frail to mend again,
So I stayed with my vision,
Hid it well, within a tight confine,
Satisfied, and Content was I.

One night I stayed awake,
Wandering through a sleepless fog,
And through the darkenss,
I saw a fire evolve,
I watched as strings of smoke hit the air,
and to my eyes,
Amazed to see a spark roaring there,
Kindling that was once so wet with tears,
Burst to life with a passion,
I hadnt seen in years.

So, One night I stayed awake,
Watching a perfect love in my mind,
Not really believing,
A man like you, one day I would find,
So I stood in the darkness,
Watching your heart circle around me
Feeling your fear, mingling with mine,
Totally entranced,
Waiting on time.
