One Spring Evening

Reclined beneath the mimosa,
I spy the early moon in hiding --
there, behind the power lines,
the young tender branches,
and these petals
raining down
as two pairs of lean legs
bounce and teeter,
limb versus limb,
while eager voices chant
and giggles climb
higher --
dancing in the breeze.
