Just one voice heard
Singing in the darkness
Crying out just one word
Over and over...

"Why?" came the plaintive cry
In a voice hoarse from the deep
Sobs that had wracked her body
Off and on for the last few hours

Slowly the words come, strangled over
The lump of unshed tears still stuck
Waiting to be shed... but she won't
Cry any more... she won't let herself

Give in to that... a friend once said
She was a cross between a therapist
And a mother... never showing any
Weaknesses...

"But I feel weak... for you were
My strength. I was strong for you
When you couldn't be...

"You were taken from me, from us;
Before we were ready to let you
Go.

"Now you are dancing among the
Clouds... and you hear this
One voice... trying to sing
Trying to be overheard
Thru the darkness...
She is facing the unknown...
And trying to never feel alone"

It takes that one voice...
Crying in the darkness..
Shouting out... now hear it ring.

That one voice has finally been heard.

You have slipped the silver bonds of
Earth... and gone Heavenward...
With the Angels that were sent to
Take you Home.

Yo Te Amo Mi Madre
Via con Dios...

Thanks

My gut wrenches when I read this. True, honest words.

Heartfelt

Your words express your emotions and heartfelt thoughts wonderfully, and as KC said you touched my heart.

You never fail to get me to shed tears when you write like that. Your writing lets me know I am still alive and feeling emotion. Thanks Victoria!
