You were just here
Right at the edge
of my fingers
Your supple flesh
undulating and echoing
beneath my touch

For the hour or so
we spent together
I was so sure
that you could save me
The way you filled me
and made me whole
I was satisfied

But life is often
nothing more
than a series of chance encounters
and kodak moments
You can't freeze-frame
fleeting passion

So i forgive you for
slipping away from me
while I slept
I figure it was just
a one time thing
And after all
You had a train to catch
