'the Swamp Witch' keeps
'the swamp watch...'
and keeps the cauldron bubbling
all night long

to feed the men
coming in like magnets
from city mind-scapes
that never sleep,

but ever glow and sow
and ever reap

valley 'heads'
lit on weed
looking up out of moon roofs
at 'starry nights'
at sky-scraper blocks
inscribed in every
race and creed

there is no more-
there is no need
