it's called the light of Christ, that shines in me
i want the world to know, the joy that he gives
i want them to know, that yes he lives
they don't want to listen, they don't want to hear
they refuse to believe, his day is really near
they want to continue, their lives on their own
they think they can live, on a heart made of stone
they don't want to change, they're set in their ways
they're so full of pride, and of self praise
they don't understand, God made us from dust
why not thank him, praise him you must
we would not have nothing, no one to love
if we did not have, such grace from above
he is a God of love, but also of just
all you have to do is look to his word, and let your heart trust
he would not have us live life, and us be sad
try his obedience, it isn't that bad
some think that God will take away, all of their hearts desire
some do not believe, there is a lake of fire
no one wants to hear, you are going to hell
that your flesh will burn, your spirit will smell
a few think it's enough, to say i believe
they have no idea, how much they are deceived
God knows your worries, he relieves the pain
he knows your heart, and he tries the reign
you shouldn't listen to me, nor believe what you've heard
just seek him out with a true heart, and you'll find truth in his word
