Only When We’re Alone!
ÓNov. 21, 2002

Emotions locked away
never more to see or hear.
We build rooms in our minds
and fill them with
everything we no longer want
to feel, sorrow, grief,
pain and hurt.
All locked away inside our minds.
We open the door from time
to time to add more,
Of all the feelings no one
wants to know.
When we are alone
we open it up,
But only when we are
alone.
No one wants to hear about
the person we are inside.
No one wants to know the pain
we have felt.
So only when we are alone
can we truly be us,
Only when we’re alone
does the mask come off.
Only when we’re alone!
