anisoptera
hovers above
gaping, snapping maws
of fat mindless catfish.

Me, the primate
on a wooden bridge
in an artificial meadow.
At the end of the bridge
a vending machine
dispenses a quarter's worth
of fish food.

It's silly, but --
the roiling water
the seething, gluttonous mob
of chomping ictalarus
mouths like black pits
fills me with dread.

Dragonfly,
I've always
got to have
a crush
on someone
and today
you're it.

Fun !!!

I wanna be that dragon fly.

I would swoosh right by and stick

my tongue out.

Nahhh-Na-Nahhh-Na--Naah-nahhhhh!

I love the imagery and just a

simple days outing. Very mellow

and laid back. Restfull read.

Like it!!

Thank you for making me pull out my dictionary. I think it would better to add your author's note at the bottom of this work because it is too detracting from/distracting reading the note then your text.

This poem flows nicely in my honest opinion and I enjoyed the vivid imagery you penned here.
