The gentlest of touches
A whisper almost
Grazing tentatively
Along the edge of the soul

Feeling the smoothness
Feeling the jagged places too
Stroking along the expanses
Each touch telling more

"Show me who you are"
This was all you asked of me
Words seemed to have no meaning
So I opened myself to you

Quietly I stand there
Open and waiting
Allowing these touches
Eyes closed to the sensation

This is who I am
These are the lines of my life
This is how I will always try to be
Open and waiting, allowing the touch
