you're both taking off
clothes, clumsy
with haste, trying
not to tear that new
Donna Karan blouse
you wore to the bar
because its color flattered
your skin tone that
you realize
you'll be left in nothing
but your imperfect body
because he wanted
to leave the lights on
and that you are opening
so much more
than your legs to him.
