Did you ever find yourself wondering
If it's really worth sticking around
Is there anything left to discover
Anything waiting to be found

When everyone around you seems to have
Another by their side
Your heart begins to wonder
If there's anything left inside

You realize that as time has passed
You have become an option so small
A convenience to some in times of need
A priority to no one at all

You wonder if the love you feel
Is only alive in you
And if that truly is the case
What can you really do

You find yourself looking around
And feeling in your heart
Everyone will be fine in your absence
If you suddenly had to depart

Sure there would be sadness
And a tears shed for a bit
But everyone has a special someone
To help them get over it

So what is the purpose of being here
If an option is all you will be
Going on each and every day
Never being a priority

Never being important enough
For anyone in this world
Is that the true purpose of being here
To be everyone's optional girl

For if that is the purpose
And there really is nothing more
Than you must choose to make the most of it
Or crumble to the floor

The real decision comes in counting
The moments that steal your breath away
Deciding if those joyous times
Are worth those optional days

In the end...no one else can decide if being here is worth the fight...
but YOU
