LEMONIA / (F)LIP EDELTRAUD => BIG SOUTH WEATHER no. 3

HILLSIDE
SUNDAY MORNING
3/3/2013

OSTRIA - SIROCCO

I sleep and wake up and your thought is with me still,
I am the only soul awake on this hill,
Big South Weather bringing rain outside my door,
And making wet the sheltered tiles of the floor.

Ostria-Sirocco hits the shore from south east,
The world we knew and we loved does not exist,
People and places change names and transform,
And so are you, and so am I, and it's the norm.

I teach myself changes in weather to accept,
And write new songs for any promises unkept,
I urge the wind, to make his name an empty threat,
Ostria-Sirocco says, "Forgive, but don't forget."

I like this

Of all your poems so far, I like this the best.

It has a flow and cadance & the sense of something important - just out of my reach.
