OTTAWA CODA

By JCSTREET © 2004

Rain-dripped glisten-struck
street
tear-swept, stained
Church-glass

silent-soft on small
feet this
never-more evermore
night

blue'd cloud never quite
darkling sough-sigh
river yet warm all
warm around and
fell, swoon-swept damp
slick of it

faces in a fish-
eye, angled wide but

arrow-sharp

Ottawa, April 9, 1980

thoroughly enjoyed

river yet warm all

warm around and

I occasionally blame those clumsy reading moments on my southern accent... more like a southern accident.
