Our love is like poetry,
With perfect rhythm and rhyme
Our love is like a sweet, soothing song,
That always grows in beauty through time.
Our love is like an ocean,
Stretching far, to the edge of the sky.
Our love is like a mighty river,
That even with obstacles, never runs dry.
Our love is like a star,
That never dims in it's brilliant light
Our love is like a sunset,
A most wondrous sight
The simplest way to say it is...
I love you now, with all of my heart
I hope you know I always will
And that's just the way it'll stay.

PicassosPleasure3 months agoI would describe this poem as "sweet streams of simile." I am a hopeless romantic, and I write poetry best from the emotion of love, even my erotic poetry. So this poem read like something I might write, though nowhere near as well because my poetic style. Thank you, for this sweet ride down that stream of simile.
