I'm just not sure what I should do
I cannot breathe or even talk
Sometimes I can hardly walk
My body shakes outta control
As your eyes gaze deep into my soul
When your hand is on my cheek
I feel your love all throughout me
Your lips on mine are so amazing
Makes my body go completely crazy
And when your arms are wrapped around me
I feel like I'm where I should be
Baby when I touch your face
All my heart can do is race
And when I stare into your eyes
Sometimes my emotions go awry
When we kiss the ways we do
All I can think is how much I Love You
How your beauty completely consumes me
How when I'm with you your all I see
One thing that I know for sure
Our love is so very true and pure
Best friends who love each other more
Than we did the day before
The earth could stand still for days on end
But that still wouldn't be enough time with my friend
Time flies so fast when we're together
I hope it's not like that forever
I'm forever yours
You know it's true
It only gets stronger

lucky_n_lovealmost 13 years agoAuthorThank you for your input :) I wrote this to my girlfriend (who loved it) and we wanted to share it so we decided to post it on here. We know the love we have for each other is a love some others never have and want to share that it is possible and sometimes even where you least expect it... And not always under the most ideal circumstances.... But true love can endure all if you stick by it's side..... And this is part of why I write... Sorry if it's not captivating enough for some but I know anyone that has what we have will more than likely understand and enjoy every feeling I write about :D there are more to come..... A love poem (for public viewing), is I think, one of the hardest things to write - because love poems are so common - who has not written them at some time? Thus, a love poem really needs originality or a fresh angle for the general reader to enjoy it. Your poem certainly succeeds in the expression of the narrator's feeling, but it did not, for me, do it in an interesting or engaging way. I felt the sentiment's to be bland and unexceptional, when they should have been sharp, or witty or sublime.
