It started out of nothing
A simple how are you?
A few witty conversations
And then out of the blue
Smiles and laughter
Soon became the norm
A hug and shared looks
A place to weather the storm
Time spent talking
Sharing our pain and joy
Learning about each other
With no need to be coy
I looked around for shelter
For my battered heart
And then out of the blue
All I saw was you
