I jumped from the plane
The clouds like dollops of whipped cream in the sun brightened blue sky
The ground beneath me slowly coming into focus
The wind rushed through me like the breath of life
I was falling into you
Falling in love; in need of your life sustaining words
I believed, quite ignorantly, that you'd be my parachute
I learned far too late that I was alone out there
I was spinning out of control with nothing to protect me
I plummeted to my death
