I had no right to reach for the stars
Bound before to the earth
But the stars reached me,
And they and me, we spent a while in harmony

A short time only, as cosmically reckoned
Reality re-intruded, wrenched, asserted
Tore away the unattainable, though it still beckoned
What is can't be not, e'en fought concerted
