Across the seas of rainfall tears
and unknown foreign land.
Over mountains of projecting love
and nomadic deserts of sand.

Each flap of my wings flies me farther,
yet closer and closer to you.
A paradox of love and distance,
where feelings kindle anew.

Keep safe my love I beg you please
from the moment when we part.
For as I journey away from home
you fly closer to my heart.

A feeling of trepidation
A feeling so serene.
Half a world apart and yet
no closer to my heart
you have ever been.

ever present.

A softly sweet exquisite expression of love. Loved the illustration ~ which went well with the poem's theme.
