Checking lists who'd I forget?
The Bratz has to be the right one
The electronic must be IPod.
Where is there a parking lot that actually
isn't jammed?
To hell with the stores I just want the parking spot.
Driving inching down the rows seeing places
snatched by a sleek sporty car.
Shall I smile as I give her the universal sign?
Of the holiday spirit as I begin that trek
I find the place oh I feel like Mose's parting the red sea.
It's up close and personal it's mine all mine.
Nothing in sight as I close in to the actual position
My heart is pounding nothing is going to stop me this time.
Seeing the beautiful car space standing there empty.
I almost feel like bowing my head to pray for this luck
it's when I note I had kept trying to find my Mecca
The empty spot stands in front of the Big man, Tall man shop.
I don't have a Tall man, Big man in my life.
I don't have a short man, small man in my life.
I don't need this parking spot.
Hesitation can be smelled by other drivers
It can make you look weak.
But it's a parking spot right up front of a store.
What a quandary? Should I give it up allow the
man behind me park his car?
Then I see his face the face of a man that smirked..
I pulled up my 2004 Cadallac and pin pointed a
three point perfection in progress and parked.
I got out smiled at him. He nodded rushed for the next one.
I felt shame. Looking down the building I saw
my reprieve a place for my parking spot.
A major brand book store. Merry Christmas to me!
