tonight the moon was full
  i saw him
wizard of shadows
weaving lunar rays
constructing
a liquid tapestry
of crashing waves
laced with silver thread
burnished black and blue
like my heart
  i looked up
and he winked at me
sorcerer of stars
waiting patiently
  he spoke
said he knew i'd come
eventually
"it's alright
there will always be fear
keep your faith
believe in miracles"
  cast his light on me
"the road here
was not nearly as dark
as you thought it would be"
  i felt the glow
"catch this star
i've been saving for you
this is your light use it gracefully
it's your time to shine"
and a little girl approached me
asking for my star
  i said
"not yet child but soon
this one's mine
do you see the moon
he's spinning one for you
don't wait as long as i did
to catch yours"
thanks moon
for waiting for me
