My spirit wills my flesh is weak.
These days I find myself run-down
I care, without you life is bleak.

I’m not a circus clown or freak
my legs absent their young renown.
My spirit wills my flesh is weak.

I hear you offer sharp critique.
Appeal you drop cynical frown.
I care, without you life is bleak.

Awash I worry spring a leak
tread water not pulled down and drown.
My spirit wills my flesh is weak.

Dismiss words I sincerely speak
entirely gets me feeling down
I care, without you life is bleak.

In sync again we can be sleek
Share pillow take off new gown.
My spirit wills my flesh is weak
I care, without you life is bleak
