What is there to say after the dream dies?
What is there to wish for,to yearn for,
To lust for, to believe?

Silence fills my soul.
Hurt invades my heart.
Reality more than distance
Is what keeps us apart.

The attraction, the nearness I felt
Without ever knowing
The whisper of your breath on mine,
The taste of your tongue along my body,
The warmth of your embrace.

To see your face when we talk
And trace it with my finger
Holds me captive still.

No hope for romance
Or enough attraction
To overcome
The distance between us
In ages,
In cultures,
In miles.

Still I dream
For the chance to love you,
Passionately,
With all my heart and soul
Without remorse or any regret
Of what the future would hold.

Just to have the memory
Of what I wish could be
Instead of what will never be.

My heart wars with my mind
In restless,frustrating dreams.
Battling between the truth
And wanting to nurture the joy I feel
Each time I see your face.

Its still so hard to say goodbye
But I do a little more each day
Because I know in my heart we will never
Find a way past all the miles
Of obstacles that lay
Between us.
