walking thru broken limestone rows
the grass is wet under my toes cardinals sing with screaming crows

stones weather worn
lost stories of babies born
their mothers hearts torn

fathers honored for wars they faught
remembered for the freedom they brought
worked hard daily without given a thought

unkept and overgrown
centuries of loss marked in stone forgotten souls moan

all buried deep
what secrets they keep
on this hill so steep
