Its the simple things you say and do
that tells me you love me,
Making coffee on Sundays,
wearing only an apron.
Rubbing my feet because I walked too far,
Going out for candy and marshmallow cream bars
Massaging my back because I’ve laid on it too long.
Accepting my apology when I admit I was wrong,
Then forgetting the situation regardless of what
I had done.
Feeding me peaches,
Refraining from speeches,
Making me breakfast in bed,
Carrying the laundry
On your days off.
No matter what we’re doing,
As long as we’re together
We’ll be having fun.
