I keep finding pennies
every where i look
I've heard that a loved one that's passed on
Drops one with a little hook.
Drops one here and another one there
I keep finding them EVERY WHERE
Every time i see one i think of my mother that's gone
so even in her afterlife she lets me know
that she's still looking on.
Watching me and giving me a gift
to help give my spirit a little lift
Pennies from Mom in heaven
is what i thought
But it was another lesson
that i was being taught
For each penny that i found
i stood there and looked around
And looked up to the heavens and said
"Mom can't you drop me a BILL"
The next day when i checked my mail box
I found myself frozen still
There was "bills" upon "bills" and not the kind
you want
Be careful what you ask for.
I learned from the "bills" i got
In big red font.
Pass due......... pay now
Mom i can use them pennies
real bad------ and how
