I become pensive, and look within,
There is something dark here, how do I begin

To describe the emotions that set in
When I contemplate the meaning between two souls akin?

What does my world amount to, if I find not this?
I pause, no answer, I'm wont to dismiss

These horrifying thoughts, regain my state of bliss,
But I feel it to the core, something's amiss...

Something's not quite right; can't quite put my finger on it and that causes me to feel so pensive.
