Peppermint cold
I hold my tongue
until I am forced to speak
or scream.
Take what I can't offer
meet me in between
our silence and our souls speaking.
Would that tears
like fairy tales could heal
but all it does is wash us
away.
And we find each other
one turn closer to the
center
or the precipice
we seek and
hide inside.
