Perfection is a word
I've come to hate
Hard as I try
I can't seem to relate

Everyone strives
For the ultimate perfection
What would happen
If they faced rejection?

When did perfect
Become the norm?
Why do we fear
An unknown storm?

Would it really piss us off
If life wasn't perfect?
If the shoes didn't match
Oh no, a forbidden subject

Thru my years
On this fucked up Earth
I've come to realize
Everything's measured in worth

And everyone strives
For the ultimate perfection
Maybe someday
We'll all accept rejection ......
