Perfection
I am imperfect
Yet you love me
Too many wrinkles about the eyes
A nose that was once straight
Your look at me through the mirror
My attempt at sucking in my gut as you do
Toenails that need trimming
Knees that now mark me as once young
Memory that occasionally fails me
But not the memory of your smile.
I look at you through eyes of perfection
I see no flaws, no hindrance to your divinity
You claim too many wrinkles about your eyes
A tummy no longer girlish
Thighs that I desire for caressing
Yet seen as more than they once were
I see you as you are,
Perfect in everyway.
Imperfect are we apart
Only together shall we ever be again.
Perfect
