Perfection from Imperfection
I once thought you,
Perfect for me,
I never thought
of the age gap.

I looked at you
Eyes shinning clear,
Green of the brook,
Brown of the dirt.

Some say it was never meant to be,
Some think it was

We were of the same cloth?
Yet different?
I guess each love is!

When you held my heart
I never thought......
Crushed by your hand,
The one that held me so.

I never thought
As I hung onto life
I would be the
Older of the two.

I once thought you
Were perfect for me,
I Never thought
Of the age gap.

I hold my one gift
So special to me,
I realize we
Were never perfect,
There isnt such a thing

The closest to perfect
A son,
Whom has hung onto life,
With eyes brown of dirt,
Beautiful and clear.
