Perigord

For years I have journeyed
Rousting the dead from their rest
Making them my slaves in a new eternity
In an effort even Satan would have blessed

I'be received no opposition to my unilateral proposition
For the last ruling lord has long since died by his sword
The only ones left are the dead
And their last words have long since been said

I crisscross the land
Cemetaries fall by my hand
There is no devil, I go in his stead
Creating the next city of the dead

Perigord,Perigord
Onward to Perigord
I am the lord, the re -animator
Soon all will call me Master

A cemetery is my treasure chest
My future slaves lying at rest
Their minds become my deadly drones
Bodies become killer dwarves through broken bones

My shadow looms over the mortal realm
Riding my funereal chariot, I conquer necropolises
Graves, plots, whole families I embalm
Resurrecting them into this, my dark genesis

Disinterring the dead
The coffin,their supposed final bed
Broken open, bodies whisked away
Awaiting transfusion into another day

I prowl the country in my black hearse
Were I the Reaper, I would ride a horse
But I am not an agent of death
Restored life is my breath

Onward
Onward to Perigord
Destiny awaits in that charnel ward
Where in victory I will raise my sword

Graves robbed, tombs raided
Vaults cracked, crypts eviscerated
Coffins scattered like so many shells
Graveyards vanish as my army swells

I travel from town to town
At the mortuary, I proceed with practiced precision
As all the bodies the town has sown
Are reincarnated into my homicidal nocturnal legion

I am the Tall Man, Jebediah Morningside
Soon, all too soon, I will come to your town
And in a supreme act of mortricide
I will kill it to the ground
