Nothing echoes more hollow then an old dream
Leftover thoughts and promises lost in time
Seemingly empty, placed neatly away
scream out to be heard in my mind

Reopened feelings still bleed from old wounds
Like scars of wisdom hard gained
They echo against the walls left behind
and resonate nothing but pain

Life's self made guardians stand at the wall
allowing no one to see, as slowly the echo
replays the dream, in shades of
permanent rain
