Ladies ‘n Gents,
Children of All Ages!

Through your haze
Carnies bark
of fun for the entire family.

You glance down at your ticket stub tattoo
tapping fingertips across skin
ravaged in the lion’s mouth
remembering the first time he lied
Everyone is a winner

Waiting
just one more moment for
That cotton candy dream
Hearing the echoes of
Freaks! Freaks! Freaks!

And your mama as she sobs,
"You’re only a flesh clown."
