Perspective

“Set me Free”

I never locked you
away,

“Release Me”

I only showed you the
path,

“Unchain me”

I only held the door for
you,

You stepped into the
cage,

You closed the door behind
you,

And locked yourself
in,

I placed the collar around your
neck,

After you had already
knelt,

You gave your heart to
me,

I kept it in my
trust,

to be free you must free
yourself,

I let you go but you still feel
trapped,

It is not me who can set you
free,

Nor do I wish you to be
gone,

It is just your mind and your
perspective.
