tagNon-Erotic Poetrypieces of me

pieces of me

a part of me
would die to hold you, immolate, in joy, defy the end of days
my own

and yet a part of me
would sacrifice my very life, if but, veined treasure spilled to dirt
transmuted all in gold

pieces of me

in a trail of crumbs I've laid
follow back, long the way
to find me

calliope she dreams
sounded chimed, of fragment found
complete, I turn to wander on

pieces of me
