Lost in my thoughts...
you wander aimlessly through my
mind..
I recount that past evening with you...
Lifting me high.....
Higher than I've ever been...
And the kisses and the touches that burned....
hotter than ever before......
We danced the waltz of time..
on top of that mountain...
Beneath the stars,
for all of heaven to see.
Hearing your heart beat
as my head lies gently on your chest..
We inhale and exhale the sweet breath of life
perfectly in unison...
And we thought this would never happen...
Before....
Flesh upon flesh, don't ever end....
sweet savior of lifetimes
angels we thought would never be sent....
When our bodies and souls meet....
our sweet sweat glistens.
Our eyes again seek each other,
to reassure the love that we speak of...
It will forever be there,
just inside the door,
just within reach,
only as far as an outstretched hand.
Home, where you wander through
the arch and hear "I love you".
