Said Kei to me:
We see with one set of eyes,
You and I
We see south and wet
And perturbed
And upturned at the skirt
And tents pitched
At junction
Of leg and leg
It follows, oh it follows

Said myself to Kei,
Why, we even share
Some cosmos!
What kind of chance
numerology lottery
could this be
That such a pretty coincidence
could be shared by
Kei and me?
Yet somehow,
It follows, oh it follows

Said both of us,
Awash in matching
sheens of cleansing sweat
words starting with P:
“Pittari” and”perfect”
And every other synonym
Touched our
swollen lips, too
And spaceed just-so between
the punctuating words
Many rose-wine sighs
paired with silent searching
Of not-so-silent eyes
It follows, oh, it follows

I am struck by the discipline in your writing that allows for a hint of passion to subtly peek through.

Oh yes...

I am willing to follow, said I to myself - follow you and Kei to wherever you go in this wonderous poetic cosmos of yours!

I was so surprised by this poem. I wasn't expecting something so wonderful to read today. Your poem has been mentioned on literotica's poetry forum in the new poems review thread.

What a welcome addition...

...to our little poetry place. Well done, Josephine. You are lighting up the place. Keep up the good work!
