There is no excuse
for beauty just is...
however we might see it -
in you
and I do,
did,
and likely always will.

Ring out the old -
bring in anew
as only you do so well
and wish as I
on a rising star
that sunlight grace
the woman you are
and so softly shed
light-shaded roses
at your feet...
their thorns gently blunted
and with spring scented dreams
to flow and follow.

Midnight muses -
soft and sweet -
hauntingly clear...
a sad silly beat away
of rhythm in blue,
in pink,
an emerald cream,
a love's dream
of silk and satin and lace.

So much of you,
moonlight held -
but a vision of cascading imagery,
the gentlest lips
of wine's hue. Eyes...
glowing soft... Hair
free and flowing
criss-crossing the me -
dream-stuff alone - I know...
but,
a reality none-the-less
of all the wishes never known.
