We grew up together and played with each other but that was a long time ago

When you moved away I refused to believe that I'd never see you again

As years slipped by I still got tears in my eyes while I dreamt of being your beau
Now that you've moved back and my life is on track I am so ready to begin

Ah but you've changed while I've stayed the same and something is now remiss

I want this to work as I strive not to get hurt as had happened in times gone past

My fears are all gone as you took me along and then gave me my very first kiss
