The innocence is gone,
but it left long ago.
We've been hiding from the truth so long;
the light it shines is hurting our eyes.

Things may be over,
but are they worse?
Are you strong enough
to admit your lies,
and then let them go?

We all were wrong.
We all were right.
There's no getting around mistakes.
We are simply human,
and it is within our nature.

It's been lost,
quite possibly the best we ever had it.
Feel bad, but don't regret.
And take value in the lesson.

But you just want to be happy,
the means is not important.
So you lie to yourself,
and remember what you choose.
And you are the enemy of forgiveness.

You stand fast in your way.
You tell me ignorance is bliss.
But ignorance is the blinders on a horse.
They may keep it from getting scared,
but they also keep it from running free.

Life has to be lived on an edge.
You must take chances.
Without great risk,
there can be no great reward.

I don't want to preech or judge.
I just want to show you all;
that although things have changed,
through forgiveness and understanding,
we can make them better.

Face your fears.
Admit your lies.
Open your eyes.
Speak your mind.
Be re-born.

A Pheonix is a bird,
one of majestical power.
However, it still dies,
but it also rises from it's ashes.
