I often wonder how I
ever managed to get along with
anyone as well as I did
with you, my dear;

Although that was ages ago,
when I thought forever and ever
actually meant something
to you, my dear,

read it, please

Everyone always tells me
how well I handle words,
both scripted and off
the cuff,

But I can't seem to wrap
my head around such things,
my words--my feelings--never
seem enough.

I wrote it for you

Yeah, it's treacly,
perhaps even sappy,
but I tried to make it
say everything at once.

So, finish it all, it
might make you happy,
or, at least, make you
consider us more than twice.

it's waiting for you

A poem that deserves to be read several times and still leave you wondering .... who? where?
